A young (6-8 months?) dog was found wandering Mount Rainier and was taken to Washington Humane on NY Ave. She has been wandering the streets near the border of DC and Mt. R since at least Wednesday. Today, she had a lawnmower cord attached to her collar, so someone had tried to tie her off in their yards.

She looks to be a yellow lab mix, with possible some sort of terrier in her. She is wearing a pink collar with white polkadots. She is very sweet and appears to have been pretty well taken care of, except perhaps a bit skinny. She is a great dog and very gentle. No training that we could tell, but behaved well in the car.
The finders couln't keep her, but she would make someone a great dog. If you want a nice dog that needs a bit of training, you should swing by NY Ave and pick her up . . .
